Wooden panel desk makeover
The boy and I were getting pretty sick of our current (or lack of) work space in our little town house. We chose a place with two bedrooms specifically so we would have somewhere to be creative and get our work done. Lucus is a graphic designer. He wanted a space that would inspire him to come home after work and want to design more and work on his skills. The space we had before this actually only had one desk. Yup. One little desk for TWO creative workers. Needless to say we ended up doing most of our work on the couch down stairs. The other day we FINALLY got a second desk. We managed to get another one exactly the same as the one we already had so we could make one super long desk. But it still wasn’t “us” It felt cold and uninspiring.
So off we went to Bunnings. We knew we wanted a wooden top for the desk but thought we were going to have to make something or cut pieces to size BUT we got super lucky and found these wooden planks that were exactly the length of out tables! We put four of these together (two on each desk) and it was a new awesome wooden desk.
I was SUPER happy to find these lamps! I was being very picky. I knew I wanted one of this kind of style but all the lamps I looked at were the wrong colour, to big, to small or the wrong shape. These ones, just right. 😉
With the white rim pots I made and my little River Luna print I feel quite comfortable in my new little space. 🙂

I love the wooden planks. Such a simple and easy way to give your desk a new life.
Well, what do you think?
