How to make a pom pom
For those of you who think of yourself as a crafty guru this one is probably not going to impress you. There will be one coming for you guys soon I promise. 🙂
But for now its time to go back to basics.
How to make a pom pom.
Making a pom pom is super easy! It can be time consuming but it really is simple.
Follow these steps and you will be a pom pom master!
You will need:
Wool or Yarn
two donut shaped pieces of cardboard
Step 1:
Put the two circles together and start wrapping!
Make sure the loose end is facing out. That way later on when you cut the pom pom it wont fall out.
Step 2: Once you have used the first piece of yarn simply cut another piece and continue to wrap the donut. again make sure the loose end is facing out you can cut the end to make it shorter if necessary.
Step 3: Once you have wrapped the whole donut tuck in the loose end. This bit is not crucial because you are about to cut it all up anyway. 🙂
Step 4: Stick your scissors into the wool making sure there is one piece of card board on either side of the blade. Next, cut away!
This is what it looks like once it is all cut.
Step 5: Cut another length of yarn and stick in in between the two donuts. Wrap the yarn around to the other side of the circle and tie a really tight not. This is what will keep all the strands of yarn together so tightness is important.
Step 6: Once the yarn is tied tight remove the donuts.
Step 7: Fluff out the strands to make a nice big pom pom.
TADA!! 😀
