My new years resolution
It’s that time of year again… we make silly resolutions about how we eat and how many times we go to the gym. Well this year I have decided to ditch the healthy stuff and focus my goals onto something more realistic… Here are my three new years resolutions.
I have said this before but what better time than new years to get these things out there.
My aim is to post more regularly. I’m not saying everyday because I know that is not a realistic goal for me. Plus, posts are about quality not quantity right?
Steps to making this happen
– Design a blog planner that works for me. (I’ll share it with you guys when it’s done if you are interested…)
– Plan ahead. Contact a bunch of awesome sellers about potential giveaways, reviews and interviews.
– Update blog planner at least once a month.
We all know I have a slight hoarding tendency when it comes to craft supplies… I can’t bare to part with anything that could be “useful” or I want to make something with “one day” I hope this resolution will help me from adding to the ever growing collection and make me look more carefully at what I already have…
My aim here
only buy what I NEED. Now I am using the word need quite loosely here…
Topic that come under need
– Well thought out blog posts. Not just oh I could make “insert random item here” with this. When those items take my fancy I must take a pic or write it down. Think about the project, plan it out carefully, then I may make my purchase…
– Things I need for work
– Something I have wanted for a very long time and it is on an awesome sale. Not just on sale, it must be an awesome sale. 😉
This one is a little tricky. I love Etsy so much but this year I have let my little shop down. It’s looking very sad and unloved.
My plan is…
– Re design banner and other branding things. Keeping my logo but just changing the layout.
– Make more stuff. Stuff I LOVE and am so passionate about that I want to share it with everybody! I’m working on new earrings, something a little more creative than just fabric I got from my local store…
– Get more involved with the Etsy community. There are TONS of amazing people on etsy just waiting for you to connect with them. I am a member or the Sydney Etsy team and met a bunch of them at Etsy Success Sydney six months ago. The amount of passion in the room was just amazing. I want to get more involved with the local etsy groups. I wanna feel the love. 😉
So they are my goals. They may not seem big to some people but they are things that are important to me.
What about you?
What are your new years resolutions? Have you set any yet?
Do you despise the idea of new years resolutions?
P.S. Hope you had a great NYE! 🙂
