How to: Pop up mothers day card
Fold the A4 paper in half.
From this half way fold rule the lines as you can see above. Two parallel lines 5 cm out from the fold.
Then rule 6 lines. 2cm, 5cm, 1cm, 5cm, 1cm, 5cm, 2cm. (if that makes no sense just look at the pic…)
Think of the fold as a line dividing the boxes making a top row and a bottom row.
The 5cm boxes in the bottom row will be your letters.
Draw the letters in these boxes trying to make them fill as much of the space as possible (this will make them look nice and even)
In the top boxes just extend the tops of the letters that touch the fold.
Now you have the letters all you have to do is cut them out. 🙂
This bit will need adult help if you are using a knife.
If the kids are doing it on their own I would recomment doing it with scissors instead.
Next draw a little message that goes with the word mum. I chose I love you but you could use “you’re the best” “amazing” or maybe “you’re amazing”
