How to: Button headband
Super simple.
I have so many of these headbands in different colours now. 🙂
You will need:
Buttons
Wide Elastic
Thread (good if it can match the colour of the elactic.)
Scissors
Step 1: Get the base right
To get the length of the elastic right for you wrap the elastic around your head where you
would wear your headband. This will give you the perfect size for you.
Stitch the two ends together creating the base for your headband.
Nothing worse than making an awesome headband and having to take it off because it is giving
you a headache…
Step 2: Start buttoning up!
I don’t bother sewing buttons all the way around. Its a waste of time, and buttons. 😛
I put the blank headband on and work out where is the point where my headband disappears under my hair. I start my buttons from that point and work my way around from there. 🙂
It can take a while to get all the button on but its totally enjoyable. 🙂
You dont need to cut the thread after every button but really try to back stitch after each button.
This way if the thread breaks you wont loose all of your buttons.
FINISHED! 😀
super easy and super cute.
love it.

I bought something similar a few years ago, but it's a bracelet with vintage buttons. All different styles & colors. It's cute & funky.
