Halloween craft ideas

As a kid I was always desperate to go trick or treating but I was never allowed. Halloween really wasn’t a big thing down here. There would be the odd few kids running around trick or treating but most houses were un prepared having no lollies on hand to give. People down here just didn’t see the fun side. I think they saw it as an American tradition and it had to relevance to our Australian culture… or something like that…
I think we can thank retailers for the growing love of Halloween down here. I think some bright spark thought why the hell are we not pushing Halloween and making money from the costumes and decorations??? NOW you can find LOADS of Halloween junk all over the place! Our supermarkets even sell “carving pumpkins” now!
Well what ever it was that started Halloweens growth down here I’m hugely grateful for it! I love a good dress up party! 🙂
