Benja Harney has changed my life!
Ok so that title may be just a tinsy bit over the top but he has changed the way I look at my work.

Every year I go to a design confrence in Sydney called Semi-Permanent. It is a wonderful weekend when I get reunited with my passion for grahpic design and remember what I spent three years studying for.
Anyhoo this year money is tight as I have moved our from the comforts of home and into the big wide rent paying world. So I was thinking I wouldn’t be able to afford to go this year (which kills the designer inside me just a little bit more…)
Yesterday I was brousing the semi website just to check out who the speakers are this year. That was when I discovered Benja Harney. Oh… my… gosh… I now need to save my little bum off so I can get a ticket. He is a paper engineer. What this man can do with paper is just MINDBLOWING! Seriously if you haven’t checked out his work before you are doing your self an injustice. I have seen his work before (most people who live in australia and own a TV would have) but it (stupidly) didn’t even occur to me to find out who the master is behind these amazing advertisments.
I am happy to pay for a whole two day ticket just to see Benja. What an inspiration. I always love designers and artists who use handmade elements in graphic design (for obvious reasons…) and his creations are by far some of the best I have ever seen!
