5,4,3,2,1 things about me!
Craftzine has a new profile series called 5,4,3,2,1 things about…
I jumped at the idea and couldn’t wait to put my answers onto the blogging page.
I also went on a trip to thailand just recently. Hence my choice of photo. 🙂
here are my answers to the 5,4,3,2,1 questions…
One Project You Are Particularly Proud Of
1. Definately this one. This little recycled creation has been my most popular tutorial. So overwhelmed of the reaction it got from you guys! 🙂 Click here to see the tutorial.
Two Mistakes You’ve Made in the Past
1. Not taking good enough care of my teeth. I now dread the dentist and his constant bad news. 😛
2. Buying crafty stuff just coz it was on sale. Particularly canvas. I pretty much never paint these days but im pretty sure I now have a stock of over 30 canvases… I am not good at self control when it comes to crafty sales. 😉
Three Things That Make Your Work Unique
1. it’s mine! No one elses. I made it. Something inside me thought this item would better the world, well my small bloggosphere corner of the world.
2. Generally no one item I make is exactly the same. I am constantly coming up with differend, and better ways to make my goodies. Whatever they might be. 🙂
3. To tell you the truth I am still working on my “unique-ness” I know it sounds pretty darn corny but I am still finding my comphy place in the land of creativity.
Four Tools You Love to Use
1. Good pair of scissors
2. Needle and thread.
3. My camera. I love it! Even though it’s starting to get a little on the old side. (and not in the good vintagey old way… more in the its starting to not work properly any more way…)
4. My computer! I couldn’t do what I do without my design programs! Without them I wouldn’t be able to work on the mag!
Five Inspirations
1. The interweb! I come home everyday and get straight on my computer and explore the online creative world.
2. My job. I constantly find inspiration from the customers I serve and generally being surounded by creative products. I can’t help but pick up a product and wonder what I can do with it. 🙂
3. Frankie magazine. I have always known the frankie team make a great mag but I have only recently gotten into it and become a reader myself. I am absorbing so much inspiration from Frankie for the crafted mag. If you haven’t seen frankie before click here to check it out. I have the issue above next to me right now. 🙂
4. Life! Because everyday I am looking for things to make. Whenever I come across something in my life that I think “hmm… I would really like something that…” (I could put my head phones in or I could keep my small change in for example.) instead of thinking about where I can get one I think of how I can make one and if that would make a good tutorail for you guys. 🙂 Seriously, all day, every day. 🙂
5. Handmade elements in graphic design. (just google “handmade graphic design” and check out the pics and you will see what I mean. I just love seeing handmade elements in graphic design. The creativity of some of these designers just blows me away!
